A Much-Needed Resource.

Diane's book is the only resource I've found that is accessible, understandable and feels doable to a family caregiver. Diane also provides resources for any further questions the reader might have. She calls her approach One Stop Shopping.

As a speech pathologist and amateur cook I find this cookbook by Diane Wolff deliciously wonderful. All members of a family can have a nutritional meal that tastes great. Puree diets no longer need to be bland or boring. This book will be a reference for both my patients and my family.
David Fagen, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
As a registered dietitian, I understand the importance of good nutrition and hydration to promote health and wellness. Oftentimes, when a person has impaired swallowing function, it becomes very challenging to maintain necessary nutrient and fluid levels. This book provides many creative tips and tricks to incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and sauces into the pureed diet. A cookbook devoted to puree friendly 'comfort food' fills a void in the cookbook world and is well overdue.

As a geriatric licensed clinical social worker working in Florida institutions for twenty years, I can tell you that one of the biggest complaints that I hear is about the limited diet of tasteless food. This is wonderful! Great idea!
Heidi Morse Pines, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, State of Florida
You wouldn't put diesel in your gasoline engine car, and you shouldn't put junk in your body either. Healthy nutrition is essential whether you can chew or not. I have been fortunate enough to try Diane's scrumptious meals over the years while I was treating her mother. In one word: marvelous!

Mrs. Grossman loved the food. She looked forward to her meals and had a good appetite. She always enjoyed her food. She functioned well on the diet. Everything worked.
Beatrice Marie Castlejean, CNA, Aide to Diane's Mom for five years

As a speech-language pathologist who has witnessed the distress of patients and their families when trying to adapt to a modified diet, I highly endorse and welcome this book as a resource for patients and the professionals who serve them.

The diagnosis of a swallowing disorder is often a traumatic moment in the life of a family, because the pattern of feeding for the loved one changes dramatically.
